FILTER

FILTER

The FILTER operator is used to select data flowing through the data bus based on specified logical conditions. For each record on the input data bus, the system evaluates whether it meets the criteria defined in the operator configuration. Only records that meet these conditions are passed through, creating a filtered data stream at the operator’s output.

The FILTER operator does not change the structure of the data bus—it preserves the original width (set of bits) but limits the number of records to those that meet the defined criteria.

FILTER CONDITION SETUP

Simple variant In this variant, you can use the parameters collected in the dictionary of each column of the input data bus stream. All you need to do is select a column and declare a condition. If you specify multiple conditions, an AND relationship will apply between them. Based on the simple variant, the system will automatically generate more advanced code, which is available in the next tab.

Advanced variant If you want to create a more complex filtering condition, you can use compiled code in the Filter tab.

In this variant, you can use values from data bus bits, bit aggregations, and project parameters collected in the dictionary. After defining the condition, you can test its correctness by clicking the Test button.

Bit aggregations:

  • GET_AGGR → the sum of the values of the selected data bus column across all input data.
  • GET_OUTTEMP_AGGR → the sum of the values of a data column collected in the OUTPUT_TEMPORARY set.
