Processing operators

Processing operators

Processing operators form the core of the GRAVITY project’s logic. They are a set of domain-specific operators, each designed to perform a specific task on data flowing through the bus — such as filtering, mapping, aggregating, enriching, grouping, transforming, cleaning, or making logical decisions.

Each processing operator has an input bus and an output bus. The output bus may differ from the input bus in both the range of records (for example, after filtering or aggregation) and the structure — including the number and type of data bits. In some cases, the operator may completely rebuild the bus, creating a new data set at the output that is independent of what was present at the input.

Most processing operators act on each record of the input bus individually, allowing precise, record-level control over data flow and processing. There are also grouping operators that process data collectively within defined logical groups.

Thanks to the modular design of processing operators, you can flexibly build the logic of your project by combining operations into processing sequences tailored to the needs of a specific use case.
