STANDARDIZATION

STANDARDIZATION

The STANDARIZATION operator allows a value to be transformed based on a universal identifier contained in one of the columns of the input data stream. The new value is looked up using the universal identifier in an independently retrieved dictionary.

OPERATOR CONFIGURATION

When configuring the operator, you must specify:

  • the column from the input data bus to be standardized (COLUMN FOR STANDARIZATION); this column will be transformed,
  • the standardization column (STANDARIZATION COLUMN), which contains the universal identifier,
  • the external data used as the basis for the conversion (the data is stored in the OUTPUT TEMPORARY operator as the result of another processing stream),
  • the column from OUTPUT TEMPORARY (OUTPUT TEMPORARY STANDARIZATION COLUMN) that contains the universal identifier; this column is used to join with the input data bus stream,
  • the column from OUTPUT TEMPORARY (OUTPUT TEMPORARY RESULT COLUMN), which is the result column.
