Import/Export

Import/Export

The IMPORT / EXPORT feature in the GRAVITY system allows you to conveniently transfer integration projects between environments and share them with other users.

Using this option, you can:

  • Export everything you have created—the entire project, including its configuration, operators, data buses, and assigned triggers.
  • Import projects created by other users—whether they were prepared in a different environment or by collaborators on your team.

You have two ways to exchange projects:

  • To/from a file – – saving a project to a file enables easy archiving, email transfer, versioning, and similar use cases.
  • To/from a GRAVITY server – synchronizing projects across multiple workstations, enabling shared editing and development by different authors.

Thanks to the import and export functionality, GRAVITY supports collaborative development of integration applications, easy migration between environments (test → production), and secure, structured sharing of solutions.

EXPORT If you want to export your projects, select the Export tab.

  • select the file to which the projects will be exported – Export target option
  • decide whether you want to export sensitive data for all connections used in the exported projects (usernames, passwords); if so, select Export with connection data
  • if you also want to export triggers associated with the projects, select Export with triggers

In the next step, select the applications (projects) you want to export.

You start the export operation by selecting EXPORT.

The file containing the selected applications will be saved to the location you choose.

IMPORT

If you want to import a GRAVITY application, select an XML file containing the application definition, for example one that was previously exported from GRAVITY.

After loading the file, you will see a list of all applications and the triggers associated with them that are included in the import file. You can decide which projects and which associated triggers you want to import, as well as which folders they should be placed in after the import.

When you are ready, start the import by selecting the IMPORT option.
