Local memory table is an option that allows you to view data stored in memory by running GRAVITY applications during the current session—that is, since the last time the GRAVITY environment was started.
Data stored in the memory table can be used by all projects defined in the GRAVITY environment, enabling information sharing and reuse across different processes.
To better understand how to work with this data, also review the following operators:
OUTPUT MEMORY — used to write data to the memory table,
INPUT MEMORY — used to retrieve data from the memory table and start a new processing path.
Data in memory is organized into collections called tables. Each table is composed of columns. Tables are populated with data using the OUTPUT MEMORY operator.
The data is stored only within the application instance (GRAVITY, GravityTriggersRunner, or a system service) in which the process populating the memory tables was executed, and it is retained only for as long as the application is running.
To ensure that memory tables are populated with data at system startup, consider using an Event trigger.
