The INPUT MEMORY operator introduces a new data stream to the output bus by retrieving it from the memory set created by the OUTPUT MEMORY operator.
This data can originate either from the same GRAVITY project or from other GRAVITY applications that have access to the shared system memory.
This operator enables you to:
- reuse data stored in memory multiple times,
- initiate new data-processing flows based on previously saved tables,
- build complex, modular processes in which data is exchanged between different parts of a project or across multiple projects, without relying on persistent storage.
The INPUT MEMORY operator complements the OUTPUT MEMORY operator, enabling smooth data exchange and reuse within the GRAVITY environment.
Example of a GRAVITY project using the INPUT MEMORY operator:
CONFIGURING THE OPERATOR
You must specify a unique name for the memory set. As you begin typing, the system will suggest the available set name. You can also press Ctrl+Space. After selecting the set, click the magnifying glass icon to view the project responsible for populating the set with data.
Note that you don’t always have to retrieve all the data stored in the memory set — you can retrieve only part of it by using filter conditions.
